Biography
For most of his 37-year professional life, William Wiesner, Ph.D has used his expertise
to help individuals, couples, students and professionals through life's challenges. His
objective advice has resolved conflicts and motivated clients to move forward with
strength.
Dr. Wiesner served the majority of his academic career at SUNY Stony Brook, where he held the
position of Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies. He also chaired the Academic Judiciary
Committee, served as Chapter President of UUP, the union representing faculty and staff, and led the
negotiations team for the Faculty Student Association.

He was Vice-Chair of the faculty of the College of Health Related Professions at Upstate Medical Center
in Syracuse, New York, and also served as interim Academic Dean at Southern Vermont College.

Following his early retirement from academia, Dr. Wiesner trained at the Center for Family and Divorce
Mediation in New York and at the Queens Mediation Center where he serve
d as a volunteer mediator.
Dr. Wiesner also work
ed as a divorce mediator in the Putnam/Goshen Alternative Dispute
Resolution Center, and is on the Board of Directors for the New York State Council on Divorce
Mediation. He is a graduate of CoachU and is a Personal Life Coach.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Syracuse University.
